About Me

New Orleans bred stylist, swimwear designer, and entrepreneur Kayla Bell has built a strong reputation for working with some of the top names in the industry while working as a lead stylist for various editorial shoots, music videos and live performances. Though she has been a stylist for over a decade, Kayla has accomplished many goals at a young age and continues to grow her portfolio. Some of her credits include working as a lead stylist on various tours and large marketing campaigns.

Aside from styling, seven years ago she crossed over into the film and television industries working as a costume design production assistant for projects such as: The Mayor, BET's The Bobby Brown Story and a few other films and shorts that were unreleased. Since then, she has Assistant Costume Designer credits of Season 2’s Craig Ross Jr.’s Monogamy for Amazon Prime before returning to the show’s third season as Costume Designer. She has also been the featured costume designer of Tubi’s Outlaw Land (both parts 1 and 2), The Tea Talk Show with Olivia Charmaine Morris, and a few other notable credits.

Currently, Kayla not only serves as creative director for her own swimwear brand, Arrow + Phoenix Swimwear, but she also has over eight years of experience as a creative director for other brands and talent. During her career, she has curated world tour pop up shops, brand centered shopping experiences, and one of a kind events to increase visibility and awareness for campaigns. When it comes to her own brand, Kayla has always been a bikini lover and at just seven years old, she recognized her love of design and keen eye for detail that has since taken her places beyond her childhood aspirations. As a designer and strong advocate of body positivity + philanthropy, Kayla always knew that she wanted to build a brand that had meaning and intention. While in middle and high school, she found that as a petite young woman with a 38DDD bra cup size, locating a comfortable swimsuit top that wasn't made with someone else's grandmother in mind was nearly impossible, so she began creating her own. Arrow + Phoenix was created as a continuation of her goal to remove the stress of swimwear shopping for women of all shapes and sizes while offering fellow bikini lovers a product that makes the earth a better place.

Overall, for the past twelve years, Kayla has curated world tour pop up shops, brand centered shopping experiences, and one of a kind events to increase visibility and awareness for campaigns. She has been featured in Ebony Magazine, Sports Illustrated Swimwear issues, Hello Beautiful, The Strategist, and The Curio to name a few.

Kayla continues to build a diverse portfolio with her specialized strength in creative direction, styling, costume design, and building brand partnerships through curated experiences. Aside from her work, she enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her friends and family.
